What is CBT?

Dr. Stacey Rosenkranz practices Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT is a collaborative therapy that focuses on helping an individual to attain certain goals and lead a happier life. We attempt to achieve those goals as quickly as possible, so that a client does not need to stay in therapy longer than necessary. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy has been found to be an effective treatment for numerous disorders including mood and anxiety disorders. In CBT we examine how one’s thoughts impact one’s behavior and feelings. Clients will acquire techniques and skills to carry with them throughout life, long after they have graduated from therapy. This is all done within a warm and supportive environment, where the client feels respected, comfortable, and reassured that they are being listened to.
